About Dr Carolyn Houss and her philosophy of skin care

Dr. Carolyn Houss graduated medical school in 1983 from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery in Des Moines, Iowa. She and her husband, Dr. Mitchell Marks, have twin children (a daughter and son) in graduate school.

Dr. Houss did an Internship in Memorial General Hospital in Roselle Park, NJ then one year of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Monmouth Medical Center in NJ. This was followed by 2 years of residency in Family Practice at JFK Medical Center, in Edison, NJ. She was then asked to stay on as an Associate Professor of Family Practice at JFK Medical Center, a Rutgers University Medical Center Affiliate Hospital, teaching the Family Practice residents. Dr. Houss and Dr. Marks then worked for the U.S. National Health Corp. in rural Florida from 1988 to 1990. Finally settling in Palm Beach County in 1990.

Dr. Carolyn Houss is Chairperson of Family Practice at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center for over 6 years. Dr. Houss is Board Certified in Family Practice and has advanced training in Aesthetic Skin Rejuvenation and enjoys this part of her practice.

Dermatology and Skin Care, in general, has always been of special interest to her. She has a specialty UV UltaCam camera to show a pictures of sun damage (brown and red spots), or some skin cancer not yet visible to the naked eye. Then a free consultation is offered to discuss the best way to address rejuvenating your skin, elimination of the aging, sun spots and superficial broken capillaries usually on the cheeks, and around the nose and most broken superficial veins. She also offers permanent hair reduction and removal from various body areas.
